The 50's and 60's were era's never to be forgotten. Go back in time by hosting your own rock n' roll party!

Party Decor
For easy and fun decorations use lots of crepe paper. Tape record albums and single hits to the walls of your party room. Dangle pictures of classic convertibles from the ceiling.

Classic rock n' roll music is a "must" at this party. Drew's Rock and Roll Party Music includes lots of favorites like "Yakety Yak, "Shout" and "Jailhouse Rock". You could also throw in any music by Buddy Holly, The Diamonds, the Beatles, or my personal favorite, "The Grass Roots".

Games and Entertainment
Have a contest of "Name That Tune." Divide the group into 2 teams. Have one person from each team come up to a table that has 2 bells.

Play any classic rock song. When either person recognizes the song, they ring the bell. If they name the song correctly, their team receives 2 points. If not, anyone from either team can guess and, if they guess correctly, their team receives 1 point.

How about including a "sock hop"? Sock hops were informal dances held at high schools when rock n' roll began to be popular in the 1950's.

The name "sock hop" came from the teens dancing in their "stocking feet" to spare the floors from the scuff marks of their dress shoes! Invite your guests to dress up and "twist" the night away!

More Fun
As a finale to the evening, show the classic movie, "American Graffiti" which recreates the feel, landscape, and sounds of the early 60's.

Party Eats
After the show, take everyone for a "cruise" of their own and head down to the local "hi-spot" (any drive-up restaraunt) and enjoy some root beer floats or ice cream cones!
