Okay, I'm not usually one to review things, but these guns were awesome! It's way more fun than pointing a can at each other. My kids loved them! Also, there is something that isn't correct in the description. The more expensive american silly string fits these guns. I bought a few cans of those too and we tried it and they work perfectly! I guess that's all I wanted to post. :-) (Posted on 9/17/10)

I bought some of these for a birthday party for my little boy who was turning 2. I was worried that he wouldn't be able to use a silly string gun because of his age, but as a dad I decided to try it anyway (hey I could use them if he couldn't lol).

I must say I was pleasantly surprised! My two year old started shooting everyone as soon as he had the gun! I tried to stop him as everyone else wasn't quite ready, but it was too late. He was laughing so hard having a blast. :-)

Here's a few things to keep in mind:

PROS:

1. These guns are reusable.

2. While they are perfect for any age, they are easy for a small child to use. This is an advantage over just using a can. I had a few cans of silly string as well and my two year old couldn't use them because he couldn't push the top down hard enough on the can. With the trigger it's really easy. For older people I can't say the gun is better than just using a can . . . but there is something to be said for shooting your friends with a gun in your hand over spraying a stupid can in someone's face. Your call here.

CONS:

3. 500 ft. of silly string goes FAST. Especially if you have a two year old holding the trigger down non stop! He'll be out in 20-30 seconds tops! Using it in short bursts will make it last a long time. Not saying this is the fault of the product . . . how much string can fit in one little? 500 ft is pretty decent I would say. However, keep in mind that if everyone just has one or two cans your battle will be over in a few minutes. Next time I think I'll have 4-5 cans per person. However, now that I've got the guns I'm set. (Posted on 8/30/10)
