The state flag for Hawaii is the official symbol of Hawaii as part of the United States. It is the only flag in the US that contains the Union flag of the United Kingdom, which is positioned in the upper-left hand corner of the flag. There are 8 stripes cover the field of the flag, alternating in white, red and blue. The flag was adopted in 1845.
