I've been planning my son's first birthday party since, well, he was only a few months old. After I discovered a certain affinity he had toward a Very Hungry Caterpillar toy that he had, I knew his party would revolve around that. 

A New Favorite The Princess and the Frog has really stolen the imaginations of young children everywhere, and has been a common theme for their birthday parties. I'm going to share some ideas I've had for a Princess and the Frog party and would love if you shared your ideas as well.

The Presentation Check out this picture and let me know what you think! Sticking with the purple theme, and obviously decorating with Princess and the Frog tableware, we've tried to create a setting that a birthday child would love. I really enjoy the doubled up table cloth, and I think it really gives the entire presentation a nicer feel.

Close Up Shots These two pictures show some closer shots of the table. You'll notice that we used tiaras to give the table more of a princess feel, and we've also laced the table with silver tinsel. Game Idea

Every good birthday party is filled with games, and I'd like to share an idea that has come to me. Sticking with the Princess and the Frog theme, you could purchase a bunch of small, plastic or rubber frogs and write 'Prince' on the stomach of one of them. You then set them out in a line and have your princesses choose one of them. Then, one by one, they kiss the frog and then check to see if they got the prince. If so, then they're the winner! Some of the girls will probably shout out 'gross!' when they realize they didn't get the prince, so it'll spark some laughter.

There are plenty Princess and the Frog items out there, so use your imagination and see what you can come up with!

Here are some ideas for a different and exciting girl 1st Birthday Party! I used the Hello Kitty theme with mostly pink and black as accent colors-so girly and so much fun!!!

Scene setters are a great way to decorate a large space inexpensively. They come in many themes and can set the mood for any party quickly and without much effort.

I’m going to give you party tips and ideas as I live my life and come accross parties and celebrations. Some of my ideas I’ve tried, while others are just new ideas that I want to share with you. Then there’s always the parties I attend where I had nothing to do with the planning but I’ll be happy to share with you other people’s ideas cuz, hey, I’ll admit, other people know what they’re doing too!
