Outdoor Fun Party
Nothing beats a water party during the heat of the summer and nothing says "party" like bunches of balloons! Tie them to picnic tables, decks, porches, and lawn chairs.
At this party, every game needs to include water and lots of it! Try water balloon baseball or volleyball. Get out the slip and slides and the sprinklers. Try this Sponge Relay game.
Divide all the children into two teams. Place two empty buckets on the ground about 5 feet apart. Put two buckets full of water about 2o feet from the empty buckets. Give each team one sponge.
Outdoor Snack
For a refreshing snack, let children make their own homemade icecream!
In a pint-sized Zip-loc bag, put 1/2 cup milk, 1/4 tsp. vanilla, and 1 Tbsp. sugar. Seal the bag, removing most of the air bubbles.
Fill 1/2 of a quart-sized Zip-loc bag with ice. Add 6 Tbsp. salt.
Put the pint-sized bag inside of the quart bag. Seal and shake the bags for 5 minutes. Makes 1 delicious serving of ice cream.
Let the children add sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, Oreos, gummy bears, or any other candy to make a extra-scrumptious treat!
