Costumes
When the children arrive, let them decorate kitty ears.
Precut ears from white cardstock and attach these to simple head bands.
Let the children paint the ears with Liquid Appliqué (found at your local craft store).
Liquid Appliqué paint puffs up when it's heated. The children will love to watch their ears puff up when you blow on them with a hair dryer.
When the ears are dry, put them on the children and give them kitty noses and whiskers with face paint!
Games
Young children love pretending they’re kitty’s when they play the Kitty Lap Game. Give each child a saucer of milk that they can lap up just like they‘re kittens. When they are finished, hand them each a Kit Kat candy bar.
Give each child a kitty tail made from long strips of cloth that they tuck in the back of their pants with the tail just reaching the ground.
The children then run after each other trying to step on each others' tails. When they lose their tail, they are out of the game. The winner is the last one with their tail still in the right spot!
Hand out lots and lots of prizes! In addition to the fun Cuddy Kitten trinkets, check out Zurchers Carnival Novelty Toys for even more fun prizes!
