Help your child and his/her friends develop more compassion by having a hero party. Tell the children that heroes are individuals who have distinguished courage and are admired for their brave deeds.
Activity
Then, invite them to participate in a "hero adventure"! Before the party, call your local shelter, church, or Red Cross to find out possible opportunities to serve in your community. Then, at the party, get out and do some service!
Decor
Decorations for this party are simple as most of your money and efforts are put toward the service you and your guests will perform.
At the parties conclusion, give each "hero" a medal for a job well done! |
